CCU NASCAR Kinetics team to host official NASCAR viewing party
The NASCAR Kinetics program offers select college students the opportunity to become a brand ambassador for NASCAR and win a trip to the NASCAR All-Star Sprint Cup Series Race in Charlotte.
The NASCAR Kinetics team at CCU consists of the following five students: Megan Franklin, a marketing and management major from Easley; Tim Gianelli, a marketing major from Boston; Austin Leopold, a business management major from Imperial, Penn.; Dan Robbins, an economics and marketing major from Leesburg, Va.; and Andrew Stephens, a marketing major from Greenville.
NASCAR developed the NASCAR Kinetics: Marketing in Motion program in 2009 to involve college students in the motorsports industry. This innovative program gives student-teams an opportunity to work through real-world business challenges facing the motorsports industry. Students leverage techniques and lessons taught in the classroom to complete case studies and projects. Students chosen for the NASCAR Kinetics program are tasked with promoting brand awareness throughout his/her college and the community. Students who have taken part in the program credit it for giving them an advantage on the competition for internships and jobs in the sports industry.
