Registration for 2001 fall semester classes at Coastal Carolina
University will be held Aug. 20 to 22 at the university's Conway
campus. Students may register from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Aug. 20 and
21, and from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Aug. 22. Fall semester classes for
the regular session begin Thursday, Aug. 23 at the Conway and
Georgetown campuses.
Students may register for classes in the following degree
programs: accounting, art studio, biology, chemistry, computer science,
dramatic arts, early childhood education, elementary education,
English, finance, health promotion, history, interdisciplinary studies,
management, marketing, marine science, mathematics (applied), music,
musical theater, physical education, political science, psychology,
secondary education, sociology and Spanish. Coastal also offers
cooperative programs with other institutions in engineering and
nursing. Minor degree programs are offered in more than 20 areas of
study.
A master of education degree is offered through the College of
Education in the areas of early childhood education, elementary
education and secondary education.
Coastal also offers several cooperative graduate programs in
collaboration with other universities in South Carolina, including a
master of business administration (MBA) degree from Winthrop
University.
Continuing students who have not preregistered must contact their
adviser prior to registration.
New students must be admitted through the Office of Admissions
prior to registering. Orientation and registration for new students
will be held Aug. 15 to 17. For more information about registration or
