July 11, 2011

The E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration at Coastal Carolina University has named a new director of graduate programs.

Ken Small, Ph.D., C.F.A., C.F.P, an associate professor of finance, will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Wall College's graduate programs office. He will also be in charge of recruiting and partnering with Grand Stand area businesses to promote and market the programs within the Wall College of Business and its benefits to the regional marketplace.

“Small’s leadership will be a great asset to both the College of Business and to the University,” says Ralph Byington, dean of the Wall College of Business. “His experience, understanding of the global business marketplace, and his existing relationships within the state will help each of our graduate programs expand and provide a launching pad for the development of further professional education opportunities.”

Small earned a bachelor's degree in finance at CCU. He earned an MBA in international banking from Texas A&M International University, a master's degree in economics and a Ph.D. in finance from the University of Tennessee. He joined the Coastal Carolina university faculty in August 2007.
