Lifelong Learning offers free week to start semester

Registration for the fall semester of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) is under way at all three Coastal Carolina University outreach centers. Catalogs are available at the centers, local libraries and chambers of commerce. More than 350 noncredit courses are being offered.

Mark your calendar for OLLI Free Week (Sept. 7-9) when three days of lectures, demonstrations and workshops will be offered free to introduce the fall lineup of courses and membership benefits. Locations are:

• Wednesday, Sept. 7 – Foundation Center in Conway, 2431 U.S. 501 E. and Winyah Road (843-349-4001)

• Thursday, Sept. 8 – Waccamaw Higher Education Center, 160 Willbrook Blvd. in Litchfield (843-349-6584)

• Friday, Sept. 9 – Myrtle Beach Education Center, 900 79th Ave. N. and U.S. 17 Bypass (843-349-2767).

Participants can enjoy free programs and refreshments all day from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., plus have assistance with registration and student photo IDs. For complete details of the fall schedule, visit one of the centers above or the website at Coastal.edu/olli.
