'Sing-Off' winner Committed coming to CCU
The dynamic, six-man singing group earned national fame by winning first place on NBC’s hit competition show, "The Sing Off." The sextet is known for its spirituality and versatility: four of the six are instrumentalists and all are able to sing multiple styles of music, including gospel, pop, R&B, contemporary worship and jazz. Collectively, the group shows a wide range of influence, including Stevie Wonder, Bobby McFerrin, BeBe & CeCe Winans and Boyz II Men.
Committed's goal is one of music ministry for their Christian faith. Members include Maurice Staple, Alain Gervais, Theron Thomas II and Robert Pressley Jr., all tenors; Dennis Baptiste Jr., baritone, and Geston Pierre, bass. The group is from Huntsville, Ala.
