Cultural Celebration to take place at CCU

Coastal Carolina University will host the 20th annual Cultural Celebration festival, “Unlock Diversity: Discover a Hidden Treasure,” from 11:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28 on Prince Lawn. Admission is free and open to the public.

The event is designed to involve all areas of Coastal Carolina University in celebrating cultural diversity by highlighting the history, music, dance, art and food of other countries and cultures. The Myrtle Beach Pipe Band and Coastal Carolina University’s World Music Ensemble will be performing.

Visiting performers include the Ayoluwa African Dance Theatre Inc. of Savannah, Ga., as well as Yasmine and Magic Hips of Charlotte, N.C. In addition to the ethnic entertainment, the event will offer crafts and cuisine from various countries.
