Coastal Carolina University voice students will perform a concert celebrating "The Rose and Other Flowers of Song" at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7 in the Recital Hall of the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts. Admission is free with a ticket.

"Poets and musicians have extolled the virtues of the rose, a symbol of love and beauty, for centuries," said Jeffrey Jones, assistant professor of music at CCU. "Many songs, in a variety of genres, derive from this same inspiration."

Students performing in the concert include Drew Benson, Katherine Brown, Jonathan Cashatt, Emily Dixon, Alexa Doggett, Sydney Hough, Becca Jones, Colleen Kerrigan, Giuseppe Maglione, Emily Martel, Shana Meyerand, Madison Moize, Jennifer Pagano, Samantha Schrader, Karlton Wallace and Stephen Williams.

The concert is sponsored by Coastal Carolina University's Department of Music. The Edwards College is located at 113 Chanticleer Drive W.
