Coastal Carolina University will host a Native American Celebration at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 17, at the Recital Hall in the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts. Admission is free and open to the public.

A performance by “Red Crooked Sky,” an American Indian dance troupe, is the feature event of this year’s celebration. The “Red Crooked Sky” dance troupe is a collaborative mix of American Indians, each dedicated to educating and promoting positive cultural awareness through traditional and contemporary dance.

The celebration is designed to enhance awareness of Native American culture. Native performers will share their insights into the origins of Native American tribes and culture.
