Coastal Carolina University’s Department of Music presents the fifth annual First Year Experience Benefit Concert on Wednesday, Nov. 16, at 7:30 p.m. in Edwards Recital Hall. Tickets are $5 and additional donations will be accepted.

The concert will spotlight freshman music majors performing a variety of selections spanning numerous genres including classical, pop, jazz and rock.

The concert benefits the American Cancer Society’s annual Relay For Life campaign. All proceeds from this concert will be donated to the cause leading up to next year’s Relay scheduled to take place on Friday, March 23, 2012, at the CCU Track and Field.

The First-Year Experience is a program designed to help first-year students transition from high school to university.
