OLLI spring registration under way

Registration for the spring semester of Coastal Carolina University’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) has begun.

OLLI begins its Spring 2012 semester on Wednesday, Jan. 11, and offers more than 450 noncredit classes and workshops made available to older adults and other noncredit students.

Registration is $20 plus any fee(s) associated with the specific courses.

Classes take place at three different locations:

* Foundation Center in Conway: 2431 U.S. 501 E. at Winyah Road – 843-349-4001.

* Myrtle Beach Education Center in Myrtle Beach: 900 79th Ave. North near U.S. 17 Bypass – 843-349-2767.

* Waccamaw Higher Education Center in Litchfield: 160 Willbrook Blvd off U.S. 17 – 843-349-6584.

Courses range in disciplines such as computer technology, history, art, foreign language, literature, writing, science and religion while also offering classes in personal growth and skill development. The complete course catalog has been made available online at www.coastal.edu/olli.

OLLI hosts a Free Week from Jan. 4 to Jan. 6 to give potential students a sneak preview of some of the courses through lectures, demonstrations and club meetings.
