Chauncey's Challenge offers a 5k obstacle race at CCU

Coastal Carolina University’s Office of Alumni Relations will host a 5K obstacle race called Chauncey’s Challenge on April 21 from 9 a.m to noon. The course is designed to introduce alumni to the growing CCU campus.

Chauncey’s Challenge will begin and end at Atheneum Hall and features 18 various obstacles and fitness challenges. The event is open to the public (18 and older) and all alumni and current students. Student organizations are encouraged to participate. Participants may register individually or in two-person teams online at www.coastal.edu/alumni or in-person at CCU’s Office of Alumni Relations, Atheneum Hall, room 200. Teams may be co-ed.

The entry fee is $25 for current students and $35 for non-students until April 20. Race-day registration is $30 for students and $40 for non-students. The fee includes registration, T-shirt, food and drink, and live entertainment after the race. Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers.

Race packets are available for pick-up in CCU’s Office of Alumni Relations on Friday, April 20 from 4 to 7 p.m. and before the race between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m.
