CCU's Summer Arts Academy concludes with public programs

The 2012 Summer Arts Academy at Coastal Carolina University will conclude with public concerts, exhibits, performances and events that are all free and open to the public. The annual summer program offers concentrations in music, visual arts and performing arts.

Graduates of the Music Academy will perform a choral and orchestral concert on Saturday, June 9, at 11 a.m. in Wheelwright Auditorium. A band concert will follow the choral concert at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Visual Arts Academy students will present a Sand Sculpture Art Show on Wednesday, June 13, at 7:30 p.m. at the Myrtle Beach State Park.

Art students will also present their annual Duct Tape Fashion Show on Friday, June 22, at 11 a.m. in the Edwards Courtyard of the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts building.

A Closing Art Show is set for Friday, June 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Rebecca Randall Bryan Art Gallery in the Edwards College.

Students of the Performing Arts Academy will perform on Friday, June 22, at 7 p.m. in Wheelwright Auditorium.
