"CCU Day" will be held Saturday, Aug. 18, at Dick's Sporting Goods at Coastal Grand Mall in Myrtle Beach. The event, scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., will feature appearances by Chanticleer coaches, including head football coach Joe Moglia, cheerleaders and the CCU mascot Chauncey.

Customers will have the opportunity to obtain autographs and free football schedule posters, and check out Dick's new supply of Chanticleer merchandise. The first 100 Coastal fans will receive a $10 Dick's certificate, and CCU will raffle four football season tickets during the event.

"Over the last two years, we have developed a strong relationship with Dick's Sporting Goods and are grateful for their belief in the Chanticleer brand," said Matt Hogue, associate vice president for marketing at Coastal Carolina University. "We invite Chanticleer fans to show their support and help us kickoff the upcoming athletic season."

CCU Day is the latest initiative of the University's trademark licensing program designed to expand the supply of Chanticleer-branded merchandise. Within the Grand Strand region alone, more than 45 retailers stock and sell products featuring official University marks and more than 150 vendors worldwide are licensed to produce CCU-branded products.
