Coastal Carolina University ranks in U.S. News and World Report’s 2013“Best Colleges"

For the second consecutive year, Coastal Carolina University is ranked in the top tier in the Regional Universities (South) category in the U.S. News and World Report's annual "Best Colleges" rankings.

The report ranks CCU 29th in the category Top Public Schools-Regional Universities (South). CCU is ranked 63rd in the report's Best Regional Universities (South) category.

"Regional University" is defined as an institution that provides a full range of undergraduate and master's programs, but few doctoral programs. Institutions are ranked against their peer group in one of four geographic regions: North, South, Midwest and West.

Coastal Carolina University is a four-year liberal arts college with 56 areas of study and seven master's degree programs. Enrollment for the Fall 2102 semester is approximately 9,084 students from 47 states and 48 countries.
