CCU faculty members collaborate for night of music

An evening of vocal and instrumental music highlight the upcoming "Lo, Here the Gentle Lark" recital on Tuesday, Sept. 25, at 7:30 p.m. in the Edwards Recital Hall at Coastal Carolina University. The concert is open to the public, and a ticket is required.

CCU music faculty members Patti Edwards (soprano), Jeffrey Jones (baritone) and Amy Hardison Tully (flute), along with Daniel Hull (guitar) and Daniel Francis (piano), perform a program that features: "Doch weichet ihr tollen vergeblichen Sorgen" for baritone, flute and piano by J.S. Bach; "Pavane" for soprano, flute and guitar by Gabriel Fauré; "Deux Poemes De Ronsard" for soprano and flute by Albert Roussel; "Shadows" for baritone and guitar by John Rutter; "Three Irish Folksong Settings" for baritone and flute by John Corigliano; and "La Flute enchantee" for soprano, flute and piano by Maurice Ravel.

Ticket prices are: general admission, $3; CCU and Horry Georgetown Technical College students, free with ticket (one ticket per valid ID); CCU and HGTC faculty/staff, free with ticket (two per valid ID); alumni and Osher Lifelong Learning Institute members and senior citizen (ages 65 and older), $3; teens, $3 (ages 11 to 17) and children ages 10 and under are admitted free with a ticket and must be accompanied by an adult.

The Edwards Recital Hall is in the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts, located on 133 Chanticleer Drive W. in Conway.
