WIPL presents mother/daughter leadership workshops
Workshops and presentations will encourage meaningful conversations designed to build strong and resilient girls. Topics include improving positive body image, health and wellness, building healthy relationships and enhancing parent-daughter relationships.
Featured speakers include Kristin Bohan, Ph.D., clinical psychologist and executive director of myTERMS, and Julie Marie Carrier, award-winning national speaker, author and success coach for MTV's hit show "MADE, a self-improvement reality television series that follows teens who are seeking life-changing opportunities.
The program includes a continental breakfast and box lunch.
MyTERMS is a nonprofit organization that stands for "my Time, my Energy, my Rights, my Mission, my Self." Its intent is to raise community awareness and offer direct services to pre-adolescent and adolescent girls. The workshop is presented in partnership with myTERMS.
An encore event continues into the evening from 4:45 until 6:30 p.m. with pizza and the showing of a featured movie.
