CCU gospel choir to perform fall concert

The Coastal Inspirational Ambassadors, the Coastal Carolina University student gospel choir, will perform at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, in Wheelwright Auditorium. The event is free, but tickets are required.

The Coastal Inspirational Ambassadors seek to perpetuate the tradition of gospel music and to recognize the importance of gospel in the preservation of African-American culture. Featured music will include "Don't Cry" by Kurt Franklin, "He's Been Just That Good" by Ricky Dillard and "You've Been a Friend" by Israel and New Breed.

Guest performers Phase II Praise Dance Ministry will entertain during intermission. This CCU organization seeks to embrace all forms of Christian expressions and consists of various artistic groups, including an a capella choral gospel group, poets, rappers, a praise dance team and miming team.

Tickets may be picked up at the Wheelwright Box Office from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday or prior to the performance. For ticket information, contact 843-349-2502.
