WIPL scholarship offers CCU students internship in D.C.
Interested students should apply to the WII by March 29, 2013. The scholarship was established through a private gift made to Women in Philanthropy and Leadership at CCU.
WII is an educational nonprofit organization founded on three principles: public service, leadership and professional development. Academics, substantive internships and immersion experiences in Washington, D.C., enable WII to create a community of scholars dedicated to a life of citizenship at the local, state, national and global levels. Since 1990, WII has served more than 2,500 undergraduate students, recent graduates and graduate students from all 50 states, Puerto Rico and more than 50 countries.
WII's Global Women's Leadership Development focuses on critical issues facing women around the world and in the U.S. Students will have the chance to critically assess case studies in an intensive core course. Through professional and academic experiences, they will also consider how to develop more opportunities for women in global and domestic political leadership.
