Final Philosophers Corner argues for faith

November 13, 2013

Coastal Carolina University's Philosophers Corner series wraps the fall semester with a presentation by David Killoren titled "Robust Moral Realism: An Excellent Religion" on Thursday, Nov. 14, at 5 p.m. in the James J. Johnson Auditorium. This lecture is open to the public, free of charge.

Killoren, a visiting ethicist in philosophy and religious studies, will argue that robust non-naturalist moral realism requires a kind of faith, and that this faith is rationally defensible. The talk should be of interest to anyone with an interest in ethics or religion.

The Philosopher's Corner is sponsored by CCU's Jackson Family Center for Ethics & Values. Each event in this series will feature a contemporary philosopher discussing current topics in philosophy.

The auditorium is located in the E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration, room 116.
