Atlantic Stage presents ‘A Christmas Carol’

Atlantic Stage will present its production of "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens from Wednesday, Nov. 27, though Sunday, Dec. 22, at Coastal Carolina University's Myrtle Beach Education Center.

Adapted by Kevin D. Ferguson, Atlantic Stages' playwright in residence, the production begins with a preview show at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, before returning at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 29, and Saturday, Nov. 30, and at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1. Show times for December are Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m.

"A Christmas Carol" tells the story of the redemption of a human soul. The play follows the ever-powerful story of Scrooge, a lonely miser who, through the help of spirits and visions from his past, present and future, finds a second chance to become a loving, generous human being.

Tickets for Atlantic Stage, the only nonprofit professional theatre in Myrtle Beach, can be purchased by calling the box office at 1-877-287-8587 or online at atlanticstage.com. Single tickets range from $10 to $27.50 at the door. Discounts are available for students, seniors (55+), the military and groups.
