Coastal Carolina University's Seventh Annual Triathlon will be held Saturday, April 29 on the Coastal campus. Events in the triathlon include a three-mile run, a six-mile bike course and a quarter-mile swim. The public is invited to participate.

Entry fees are as follows:

- Pre-race day fees:

Coastal Carolina University students: Individual $5; Team $15

General public: Individual $10; Team $20

- Race day fees:

Coastal Carolina University students: Individual $10; Team $20

General public: Individual $15; Team $25

Winners will be awarded for first, second and third place in age, gender and team categories. The first 60 people to register will receive a free Triathlon T-shirt.

Participants may register early by completing an entry form at Coastal's Recreation Center weekdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. On-site registration begins at 8 a.m. on race day. Participants are urged to arrive before 8:30 a.m. to receive competition number and course information. The triathlon begins at 9 a.m. sharp.

Participants are required to bring swimsuits, goggles, towels, running shoes and proper clothing. For the bike course, participants are required to bring a helmet and a bike.
