CCU’s Cribb elected as officer of PGA Carolinas

March 4, 2014

Paige Cribb, director of student support for the PGA Golf Management Program at Coastal Carolina University, was elected to a two-year term as secretary of the Carolinas Section of the PGA of America, becoming the first female officer in the history of the CPGA. The election took place during the 21st Carolina's PGA Merchandise Show and Annual Meeting in Greensboro.

Prior to coming to CCU, Cribb, a native of Georgetown, was the head professional at Wachesaw Plantation East for seven years. She also worked at Heritage Club, Legends Resort and Bay Tree Golf Plantation. Cribb is an alumna of UNC Wilmington, where she was on the golf team.

"The election of Paige Cribb, PGA, to the office of Secretary of the Carolinas PGA Section was historic," said Will Mann, former director of player development for CCU's golf management program. "Paige has a proven history of service to the game and our PGA members, and her election will allow her to have even more opportunities to help our members and grow the game."

Cribb also serves on the national PGA of America Inclusion committee, and is only the second woman to serve on the CPGA board in recent years.
