‘What is Wrong with Politics?’ discussion to be held at CCU

“What is Wrong with Politics Today?” will be the focus of Coastal Carolina University’s next Tea and Ethics series on Wednesday, March 26, at 4:30 p.m. in the James J. Johnson Auditorium. The discussion is free and open to the public; no ticket is required.

The political world sometimes seems like a giant, unstoppable machine, but it’s composed of individuals -- politicians, voters and lobbyists -- human beings making choices that affect the lives of others.

Sometimes these people make the right choices. Often they fail. This talk will explore what philosophers have to say about how they make their decisions and what morals, if any, should guide them.

The panel will consist of Emily Crookston, visiting assistant professor of philosophy and religious studies; David Killoren, visiting ethicist in philosophy and religious studies; and Jonathan Trerise, assistant professor of philosophy and religious studies.

The Johnson Auditorium is located in the E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration building at 119 Chanticleer Drive E. on the CCU campus in Conway.
