Professional art curator to speak at Coastal

Writer and curator April Lamm will speak to Coastal Carolina University students on Wednesday, Feb. 27 about career opportunities for art and English majors. Lamm, who is curator of conceptual art for the 2002 New York Armory Art Fair, will talk about her work as an art critic and curator in New York and Europe as part of Coastal professor Charles Wright's "The Artist as Professional" class at 12:30 p.m. in Edwards Building 163. The event is free and open to the public.

Lamm is also a consultant at Art Forum Berlin and has worked as a freelance art writer for The Boston Globe, The International Herald Tribune, Newsweek and several European journals.

A resident of Berlin, Lamm earned a bachelor's degree in English literature from Barnard College and a master's degree in Anglo-Irish literature from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.
