October 8, 2014

Wall College Connections, a signature event sponsored annually by the E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration at Coastal Carolina University, is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 15, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Wall College of Business. "A Brave New E-World: Commerce in the Age of Mobile Media" is the theme; the discussion is free and open to the public.

Suzanne Evans, New York Times best-selling author of "The Way You Do Anything Is The Way You Should Do Everything," is the keynote speaker at 5 p.m. in the Johnson Auditorium. She is owner and founder of Suzanne Evans Coaching LLC, a professional business company that focuses on coaching, consulting and teaching entrepreneurs how to build seven-figure businesses at lightning speed.

A panel discussion with successful local business professionals will be held at 11 a.m. in the Johnson Auditorium. Panelists include Batt Humphries, former CBS News executive and author; Melissa Clark, associate professor of marketing in the Wall College of Business; Dalton Floyd, founding partner of The Floyd Law Firm PC; and Allison Herron '13, social media coordinator for The Brandon Agency.

Evans, who is described as the "tell-it-like-it-is, no-fluff boss" of business building, supports, coaches and teaches more than 30,000 women enrolled in her wealth and business building programs. Having gone from a secretary to surpassing the seven-figure mark in just over three years, Evans has taken her company from zero to #225 on the 2012 INC 500 list for fastest growing companies in the U.S. In 2013, her company was ranked in the top 20 of the fastest growing companies in South Carolina. Evans also runs a Global Impact Project each year that works with female artists and entrepreneurs in Zimbabwe.
