WIPL awards 23 scholarships for 2014-2015
Students from eight states have received scholarships totaling $28,500 this year. Since 2007, WIPL has provided 124 scholarships for deserving Coastal Carolina University students.
WIPL is a group of philanthropic women from the community and the university whose donations and service promote higher education and leadership. Each year the organization awards annual scholarships to deserving Coastal Carolina University students.Â
WIPL reached a milestone in 2013 when its endowed scholarship fund passed the $100,000 mark, generating enough for a $5,000 scholarship to be awarded each year. The first Women in Philanthropy and Leadership Endowed Scholarship has been awarded to Hailey Olson of Williamstonfor the 2014-2015 academic year.
