HTC speaker Berdan to discuss global success
"Getting yourself ready to succeed in a globalized world" is the topic of Berdan's talk at 7 p.m. in Wheelwright Auditorium. She will also work with 25 teachers from local schools on "Educating a global child" from 3 to 5 p.m. in room 205 of the Eldred Prince building.
Berdan has worked in more than 50 countries and continues to counsel companies on global issues. She spends a great deal of her time speaking on college campuses where her advice on global careers has been characterized as "engaging, insightful, inspirational and authentic" by professionals, campus counselors and students alike. Her books include "Raising Global Children" and "A Student Guide to Study Abroad."
Berdan blogs regularly for the Huffington Post and on her site (stacieberdan.com). Her numerous broadcast appearances include NBC's "Weekend Today," NPR's "Marketplace," ABC News "Money Matters" and "America This Morning, and her work has been featured in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Forbes, Fortune, Time, The Language Educator and many others.
Berdan earned a bachelor's degree from Florida Atlantic University in 1988 and completed graduate course work in English literature there in 1991.
