Coastal Carolina University is sponsoring "Financial Strategies for Successful Retirement," a course on money management. Conducted through Coastal's School of Continuing Studies, the course will be held on the following dates and locations:

- Thursdays from March 28 to April 11 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at The Dunes Golf and Beach Club in Myrtle Beach; - Thursdays from March 28 to April 11 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Webster University in Myrtle Beach; - Fridays from March 29 to April 12 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Litchfield Country Club; and - Saturdays from March 30 to April 13 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Coastal's University Hall.

Fee for each session is $59 for two people.

The course is designed to prepare individuals for a financially secure retirement. Participants will learn how to increase investment returns and maximize retirement income. Strategies on how to protect assets from inflation, estate and income taxes, and long-term health care expenses will be addressed.

The instructors for the course are David Monkton, CFP, and Sam Head, registered investment advisers with Washington Square Securities, Inc.
