Rivenbark joins the CCU Office for Philanthropy

Eric Rivenbark has been named a director for philanthropy at Coastal Carolina University. His area of responsibility will be increasing awareness and support for CCU's E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration.

"Eric brings great experience to Coastal's Office for Philanthropy," said Mark Roach, vice president for philanthropy. "His fundraising experience at Methodist University, as well as his knowledge of the banking industry, will serve him well in his new position. I look forward to partnering with Eric and [Business] Dean Barbara Ritter in raising support for the Wall College of Business and its students."

Prior to joining CCU, Rivenbark was the senior director of development and gift planning at Methodist University in Fayetteville, N.C. He was responsible for managing operations of the advancement office and increasing the University's endowment through endowed scholarships and planned gifts. During Rivenbark's three years at Methodist, he also served as director of development and planned giving, and director of development. In addition, he managed a portfolio of more than 220 major gift donors and established a planned giving program and advisory council.

Rivenbark's background also includes working for 10 years with BB&T and Bank of America in private banking and wealth management.

Originally from Fayetteville, Rivenbark earned a bachelor's degree in business administration and an MBA from East Carolina University. He and his wife, Laura, have three children, Chloe, 9, Landon, 3, and Tucker, 2.
