Jillian Weston has been appointed to the position of Associate Athletic Director of Student-Athlete Academic Services for Coastal Carolina University.

Weston will be responsible for leading a team of academic advisers/counselors for CCU student-athletes. Her duties will include maintaining regular contact with student-athletes and coaches; providing them with necessary information on academic compliance; working closely with student-athletes to advise, mentor and support them in their academic careers; and monitoring and reporting various kinds of data required by CCU and NCAA standards.

Weston has a bachelor's degree in psychology from Virginia Wesleyan College and a master's degree in forensic psychology from Argosy University. She has held several different student-athlete academic support positions at West Virginia University in Morgantown, most recently serving as assistant director of student-athlete academic services.

She will report directly to CCU Provost and Executive Vice President Ralph Byington, while working closely with Athletic Director Matt Hogue and other personnel in the Department of Athletics.
