Civic Engagement at Coastal Carolina University and Catholic Charities-Pee Dee will donate holiday baskets to families in need in the Grand Strand community for the fifth semester in a row.

Any individual, group, department or office can participate to fill a basket of food and/or any Christmas items that will be distributed at Catholic Charities' Thanksgiving Turkey and Trimmings Drive and Christmas Assistance Program. If you choose to help, please fill a reusable plastic or wicker laundry basket with items from the list below.

To register, complete the "Setting the Table Intent Form" on Coastal Connections: https://coastal.collegiatelink.net/form/start/81486. Forms must be received by Monday, Nov. 2, at 9 a.m. Once you have completed the form, you will receive an email on Wednesday, Nov. 4, with more information about what to include in your basket, the delivery time and date, and delivery instructions.

Food Items

- Canned corn

- Canned green beans

- Canned peas

- Pie crusts and canned pie filling (cherry, apple, lemon, pumpkin, etc.)

- Fresh potatoes

- Fresh yams

- Fresh carrots

- Stuffing mix

- Bottled or canned gravy

- Kroger gift cards

Christmas

- Gifts for teens (ages 13-18): hats, gloves, ear muffs, lip balm, $10 fast food gift cards and stocking stuffers.

- Wrapping paper

- Tape

- Bows or ribbons
