Coastal receives Certificate of Achievement

April 9, 2002

Coastal Carolina University recently received a Certificate of Achievement from the S.C. Commission on Higher Education for its Comprehensive Permanent Improvement Plan (CPIP).

Coastal, which submitted its CPIP 10 days prior to the due date, was recognized as the first state agency to compile and submit the comprehensive plan, according to Stan Godshall, assistant vice president for budget and facilities management at Coastal. All state agencies are required to submit a CPIP.

Coastal's CPIP includes all permanent improvements which are projected and proposed for the next five fiscal years, concluding with the 2006-2007 academic year.

Wanda Lewis and Rein Mungo of Coastal's Office of Facilities Management were responsible for compiling and submitting the university's CPIP.
