Music recital showcases CCU faculty members

Faculty members from Coastal Carolina University's Department of Music will perform in a recital on Tuesday, Feb. 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts Recital Hall. General admission tickets are $7, and discounts are available.

The recital will feature a variety of classical and jazz works showcasing different voice and instrumental combinations. The diverse program will include solo performances by Josh Frans, percussion, and David Manigo, director of the Coastal Inspirational Ambassadors; a duet performance by Tonya Propst on horn and Chris Connolly on trombone; and the CCU Faculty Brass Quintet. In addition, the concert will feature Jill Trinka performing a Pete Seeger folk song and the premiere of a new piece by Andrew Fowler that features the Faculty Jazz Combo.

Senior citizens, OLLI members, alumni, teens, and CCU/HGTC faculty and staff may purchase tickets for $5. Children up to age 10 are $3, as are tickets for CCU/HGTC students. The auditorium is located at 108 Spadoni Park, Conway.

The Recital Hall is in Room 152 of the Edwards Building, located at 133 Chanticleer Drive W. on the Conway campus.
