A campus memorial service commemorating the anniversary of last year's terrorist attacks in New York and Washington, D.C., will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 12:30 p.m. in Wheelwright Auditorium on the Coastal Carolina University campus. The event is free and open to the public.
The event will be led by Preston McKever-Floyd, senior instructor of philosophy at Coastal, and will include an open forum, giving individual students and members of the community the opportunity to speak. Coastal's Gospel Choir also will perform.
From Wednesday, Sept. 11 to Friday, Sept. 13, many American flags will be displayed along Coastal's Prince Lawn in commemoration of the anniversary.
Voter registration will be held Thursday, Sept. 12 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Prince Lawn.
