Auditions scheduled for Coastal Carolina University production of

Auditions will be held for roles in the upcoming Coastal Carolina University Theater production of "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" on Monday, Sept. 9 at 6 p.m. in Wheelwright Auditorium on the Coastal campus.

The show, a musical farce about Ancient Rome by Stephen Sondheim, features such songs as "A Comedy Tonight!" and "Everybody Ought to Have a Maid."

Parts are available for men and women actors of all ages. Those interested in auditioning should prepare a short (30 second to one minute) spoken monologue and 16 measures of an up-tempo show tune. Auditioners for the roles of Hero and Philia should prepare 16 measures of a ballad or a lyrical show-tune.

- Coastal's production of "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" is scheduled for Nov. 8, 9 and 10 in Wheelwright Auditorium.
