Auditions will be held for roles in the upcoming Coastal Carolina University Theater production of "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" on Monday, Sept. 9 at 6 p.m. in Wheelwright Auditorium on the Coastal campus.
The show, a musical farce about Ancient Rome by Stephen Sondheim, features such songs as "A Comedy Tonight!" and "Everybody Ought to Have a Maid."
Parts are available for men and women actors of all ages. Those interested in auditioning should prepare a short (30 second to one minute) spoken monologue and 16 measures of an up-tempo show tune. Auditioners for the roles of Hero and Philia should prepare 16 measures of a ballad or a lyrical show-tune.
