Career conference for women sponsored by Coastal Carolina University

"Up, Up and Online," a career skills development conference for women, will be held beginning Sept. 26 in University Hall on the Coastal Carolina University campus. The cost is $15.

This interactive pilot program is designed to prepare under-employed or unemployed women to evaluate new career options and facilitate career advancement through the use of technology. The program offers instruction in basic computer skills for online and distance learning. Participants will also take the Meyer-Briggs Type Indicator evaluation to assess career interests and learning styles.

The schedule for the program is as follows:

Thursday, Sept. 25 - 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. or Saturday, Sept. 28 - 9 to 10 a.m. - Meet on campus

Thursday, Oct. 10 - 8 to 9 p.m. - Audio-conference

Thursday, Oct. 17 - 8 to 9 p.m. - Online chat

Thursday, Oct. 31 - 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. - Exit reception (optional)
