Coastal Carolina University sponsors town meetings on corporate ethics

"Enron, WorldCom...What's Going On?" is the topic of two upcoming town meetings sponsored by Coastal Carolina University. These forums, which will focus on ethics and modern business practices in corporate America, are scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. at the Litchfield Beach and Golf Resort and Wednesday, Nov. 20 at Chapin Library in Myrtle Beach. Both events are free and open to the public.

Benedict P. Rosen, chairman of the board of AVX Corporation, will serve on the panel of the Nov. 14 meeting, and Larry L. Biddle, a director of Burroughs & Chapin Company, Inc., will serve on the panel of the Nov. 20 event. Other panelists include Claudia McCullough, chair of Coastal Carolina University's Department of Philosophy and Religion; Greg Krippel, associate professor of accounting at Coastal; John Mortimer, assistant professor of accounting at Coastal; and Phil Schneider, associate professor of philosophy at Coastal.

The event is sponsored by the Board of Visitors of Coastal Carolina University's Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts and the Wall College of Business Administration.
