Coastal Carolina University's Lifelong Learning Society offers free orientation and workshops

Coastal Carolina University will preview its Spring 2003 program by offering several free workshops as part of its semi-annual orientation Friday, Jan. 10 at 9 a.m. on the second floor of University Hall. It is designed to give an overview of the more than 50 classes which will be offered this semester through Coastal's award-winning Lifelong Learning Society, an education enrichment program for adults. The orientation will begin with a continental breakfast and a brief overview of the program, followed by the workshops. The orientation and workshops are free and open to the public.

The following half-day workshops will be offered:

- Travel to China: a travel presentation to the Far East by Ed Williams of TraveLearn;

- All About E-mail: a short course in computer technology;

- Beading: learn to create your own jewelry; and

- Classic Film Review: expert analysis of film shorts with David Zinman.
