CCU College of Education's first Spring Festival focuses on children
The festival is designed to bring children and families to campus for activities that combine learning and entertainment. Most festival activities will take place in and around Kearns Hall, Williams-Brice Physical Education Center and Wheelwright Auditorium. Events include sport clinics, health and fitness seminars, and penny-carnival activities for children of all ages. A free children's concert is scheduled from 11 a.m. to noon in Wheelwright Auditorium.
Coastal students in the College of Education submitted proposals for activities, which were then selected by a faculty committee.
Proceeds will benefit the College of Education student organizations' community service and outreach projects, a scholarship fund, and faculty research and teaching initiatives.
