Two student art shows opening

The Archarios Annual Art and Literature Show opens Wednesday, April 23, at Coastal Carolina University, featuring the art work from the student literary magazine.

On exhibit in the Rebecca Randall Bryan Art Gallery will be the visual arts, including drawing, painting and photography of students and professors as determined by the Archarios Selection Committee, according to Andrew Wilson, art gallery director at Coastal.

The show opens with a reception at 2 p.m. with light refreshments; it is free and open to the public. It will remain up through Friday, April 25.

The Senior Art Show opens Monday, April 28 in the art gallery, featuring about 50 works of 14 graduating art students. They are: Ray Brown, Christie Carropa, Kristine DeNinno, Melissa Hall, Rachel Harris, Helen Horn, Candice James, E.J. Kerr, Wendy Kovac, Steve Metropolis, Kim Morris, Chris Risher, Sandi Snyder and Stacy Vance.

The show will kick off with an opening reception at 2 p.m. Monday, April 28. It will remain up through Friday, May 9, with gallery hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The gallery is located in the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts.
