CCU Symphonic Band gives Spring concert

The Coastal Carolina University Symphonic Band’s Spring Concert will feature a variety of music including military marches, classical pieces and a film score suite on Monday, April 14 at 7:30 p.m. in Wheelwright Auditorium on the Coastal campus. The event is free and open to the public.

Led by director James Tully, assistant professor of music at Coastal, the concert includes the Suite in E Flat for Military Band by Gustav Holst; a medley of tunes from John Williams’ film score for “The Cowboys”; Percy Grainger’s “Blithe Bells,” an arrangement of a song by Bach; and the Claxon March, originally written for an automobile show in Detroit.
