Lifelong Learning Society adds members to Board, elects officers

Three new members have been elected to the Lifelong Learning Society Board of Directors at Coastal Carolina University.

The new members, elected for three-year terms, are: Curtis Harlin and Richard Hair, both of Myrtle Beach, and Rocco Cartisano of Conway.

Board officers elected for the 2003-2004 academic year are: Carol Rose, president; Norman Whiteley, vice president; and Curtis Harlin, secretary.

Other Board of Directors members are: Connie Hunt, of Murrells Inlet; Steve Talton of Surfside Beach; Lou Gilles and Julie Miller, both of Conway; and Carol Ewing of Loris as an honorary board member.

The Board of Directors was established in 1998 to oversee Coastal's award-winning Lifelong Learning Society, an education enrichment program for adults. The Board advises the Division of Continuing Studies of curriculum offerings that match community interests and needs.
