Latino comedian Eric Nieves is performingWednesday, Sept. 10, at 7 p.m. in the Wall Auditorium of the E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration at Coastal Carolina University. The show is free and open to the public.

Nieves is one of the most sought-after Latino comics in New York. His comedy is reality-based and upbeat; he takes simple elements and puts a hilarious spin on them. From bad dates to mullets, Nieves relates to his audience and delivers a show full of side-splitting social humor.

Native to the Bronx and the sketch comedy group Nuyorican Rule, Nieves made his comedic debut in 1994. Since then he has created a name for himself with his humorous social commentary and various other roles as an entertainer, including a guest role on "NYPD Blue" as well as appearances on "Showtime at the Apollo" and BET's "Comic View."
