Walk Through Time exhibition at Coastal is extended
A Walk Through Time from stardust to us takes participants on an outdoors walk through a series of laminated panels, each representing a million years. The walk begins in front of Kimbel Library and continues alongside the Student Deck and onto Prince Lawn. In a series of 90 panels of text and illustrations, the innovative traveling exhibit tells the story of lifes 5-billion-year evolution. It is free and open to the public.
The exhibit traveled to Coastal in conjunction with the Celebration of Inquiry last week, which featured more than 160 events, presentations and performances. The purpose of the walk, which takes about two hours to complete, is to help facilitate a scientific understanding of the evolution of life on Earth. The exhibit is sponsored by the Joseph W. Holliday family, represented by William Holliday.
