Senate candidate Thomas Ravenel to visit Coastal

Thomas Ravenel, a Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate for South Carolina, will be speaking at Coastal Carolina University on Thursday, March 4 at 1 p.m. in Wall Auditorium. The public is invited.

The 41-year-old Charleston real estate developer will give a 20-minute speech, followed by a question-and-answer session. He will visit people in various areas of campus.

Ravenel is seeking retiring Democratic U.S. Sen. Fritz Hollings' seat. Also running for the seat are former S.C. Attorney General Charlie Condon, former Gov. David Beasley, Myrtle Beach Mayor Mark McBride and U.S. Rep. Jim DeMint.

The program is sponsored by the Coastal College Republicans.
