Coastal offers Super Sonic youth programs for summer

SuperSonic Summer Youth Programs, educational classes designed for students ages 7 to 15 are being offered June 7 through Aug. 20 at Coastal Carolina University.

Kitchen Kemistry, astronomy, dance, foreign languages, computer animation, the coastal wetlands, pottery and creative writing are just a few of the more than 50 programs available through Coastal’s Division of Continuing Studies.

Courses change each week and are held Monday through Friday, in full-day and half-day formats to allow students more flexibility with multiple learning experiences. Half-day classes are from 8:30 a.m. to noon; full-day classes are from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. After class childcare is available from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at additional cost. Registration fees vary according to length and content of courses, with fees beginning at $69 per student. Transportation for all field trips is provided by the university.
