Faculty/Staff golf tour starts this week
The Department of Campus Recreation presents a summer of golf with the Faculty/Staff Golf Tour. Each Friday from May 16 to Aug. 8 (except July 4), the Tour visits a different course around the Grand Strand. Since CCU summer hours begin May 12, the first event will be Friday, May 16. This year the scheduled courses include some new ones and some old favorites such as Woodland Valley, Farmstead, World Tour, Shaftesbury Glen, Witch, Wizard, Man O War, Burning Ridge, Wild Wing, Myrtle Beach National and, of course, Quail Creek.
To join the tour, there is a $25 registration fee and discounted group greens fees at each course. (Each course costs between $20-$55, although the lower end of that scale is the norm.) Generally, there are five to seven tee times at each course, so space is limited. For the registration form and to view the schedule, visit the Web site at www.coastal.edu/ccugolftour.
