10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Beach Bash, Coral Reef Resort

Grab a beach towel, sunscreen and a few friends, and enjoy an afternoon at the beach at Crown Reef Resort. Transportation will be provided.  Lunch is free for the first 100 students who arrive at the shuttle stop.  Shuttles will be running to the beach from the Student Union Bus Stop starting at 10 a.m. The last shuttle will leave campus at 2:30 p.m. and return to campus at 4 p.m.

11 a.m.

Ties that Bind, Union Theater

This program is designed to introduce minority freshmen to minority upperclassmen and staff at the University. If you signed up for the mentoring program during Summer Orientation or mailed your form to the office, you must attend. Those who did not sign up previously but are strongly encouraged to attend.  

11 a.m.

Pool & Madden Tournament, Union Game Room

If playing pool or video games are of interest to you, enter the CINO TIE Tourney, and meet other students who share the same interest. Show up at the Game Room at 11 a.m. to enter and get your name on either bracket. The pool tournament will be played in teams of two. 

noon to midnight

HTC Center Open

Take a break from unpacking and head over to the HTC Center to work up a sweat in our fitness facility. 

2 p.m.

Mountain Bike Ride, Meet at the HTC Center

Join Campus Recreation for a Mountain Bike Ride! Meet at the Outdoor Center and ride through the trails of the Waccamaw Wildlife Refuge. This is a great ride for beginners or experienced riders interested in the local trails. The trails are a combination of singletrack, doubletrack and fire roads. The singletrack trail is technical and demands your attention and focus. The doubletrack and fire roads are fast and smooth. Fifteen spots available on a first-come, first-served basis.

How 'Bout This Party for freshmen*, Wheelwright Auditorium

This is a mandatory session for all freshmen females living in Tradition and Chanticleer.

4 to
4:45 p.m.

Interest Sessions - Intramural & Club SportsWall 309

Come out to see what Intramural Sports and Club Sports has in store for 2015-16.  Take some time to visit with us to learn about how to register for and play intramural sports, get information on our 20+ club sports and learn about our program’s activities and policies.  Before you leave, grab a giveaway and win an Intramural Sports registration gift certificate and other CCU prizes.

 Interest Sessions - Faith Based OrganizationsWall 318

This session is to designed to acquaint you with the variety of faith-based organizations that the campus has to offer. Come get to know members of these organizations, as well as other students who have a similar faith as you. 

5 to
5:45 p.m.

Interest Sessions - CAB/SGA/ChantNation/RHA, Wall 309

Learn about the services and programs offered by some of our campus’ largest governing and/or programming student organizations. Hear from students representing the Coastal Activities Board (CAB), Student Government Association (SGA), ChantNation, and RHA (Residence Hall Association).

5 to
5:45 p.m.

Interest Sessions - The COASTWall 318

Come learn about the Counseling Outreach Advocacy Student Team (COAST). This group of students offers a variety of programs and services that may be of interest to you!

5 p.m.

How 'Bout This Party for freshmen*, Wheelwright Auditorium

This is a mandatory session for all freshmen males living in Eaglin, Grand Strand, Low Country and Sandhills.

6 to
9 p.m.

CINO Night, Prince Lawn

Come take part in a variety of activities highlighted by a carnival-style atmosphere. Enjoy games, novelties, inflatables and a water slide. Refreshments will be provided. Come have fun and meet new people.  Make sure to bring your CINO card (student ID). You will need to check in before enjoying the events of the evening.

7:30 p.m.

This is a mandatory session for all freshmen females living in Grand Strand.

9 p.m.

Furious 7, Union Theater

After a long, busy day, come relax at the Lib Jackson Student Union and watch Furious 7. Tickets are only $2, and free popcorn is included in your cost of admission.

10 p.m.

Comedian, Wheelwright Auditorium

The Coastal Activities Board presents comedian Kabir Singh. A high-energy, crowd-pleasing comic with an in-your-face attitude and razor-sharp wit; he will have you laughing non-stop. So grab some friends and come see his humorous performance!
