Business Administration

(MBA) College of Business

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) developes the analytical, practical and interpersonal skills business professionals need to make crucial decisions in an increasingly complex business environment. This 30-credit, 100 percent online program offers an advanced professional degree designed to prepare students for versatile and challenging careers. The online MBA program has been designed so that completion of course requirements may be accomplished in one year.

Information Systems Technology

(M.S.) College of Science

The Master of Science in Information Systems Technology (IST) with a concentration in Security and Analytics prepares graduates to design, evaluate and implement secure technology systems and infrastructure for a variety of professional industry segments. Candidates will engage with IST professionals and apply critical thinking and technical skills to analyze and evaluate IST architecture in order to implement secure information services, policies and processes that manage risk and create actionable insights. This 33-credit program can be completed online in 18 months.

Instructional Technology

(Ed.S.) College of Education

The Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) in Instructional Technology is a 100 percent online program designed for teachers and other professionals who have already earned a master's degree and are interested in extending their abilities to design, develop, implement, evaluate and manage technology to improve teaching and learning. Candidates who complete this curriculum will have the knowledge, skills and dispositions to teach and lead as instructional technologists employed in schools and other settings, and will be well prepared for future graduate study at the doctoral level. Certified teachers employed full-time in South Carolina public schools are eligible for a 30 percent tuition discount and may qualify for M+30 pay upon degree conferral.

Instructional Technology

The Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Learning and Teaching – Instructional Technology concentration is a 100 percent online program designed to provide teachers, trainers and other professionals advanced studies of the design, development, implementation, evaluation and management of instructional technologies and their potential to improve teaching practice, student performance and professional productivity. Candidates who complete this curriculum will have the knowledge, skills and dispositions to provide leadership in instructional technology in various professional settings. Certified teachers employed full-time in South Carolina public schools may be eligible for a significant tuition discount (up to 50 percent).

Literacy

(M.Ed. College of Education)

The Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Learning and Teaching – Literacy concentration is designed to provide certified teachers with the knowledge and skills to assess the needs of developing readers and writers and create authentic instructional practices to meet those needs. Interactive and practicum experiences through the Chanticleer Center for Literacy Education are required as a part of the program. Degree-seeking candidates can complete up to 80 percent of their coursework online and will be eligible to apply for the Literacy Teacher endorsement offered through the South Carolina State Department of Education. Certified teachers employed full-time in South Carolina public schools may be eligible for a significant tuition discount (up to 50 percent).

Special Education

(M.Ed.) College of Education

The Master of Education in Special Education program is designed to advance the careers of licensed teachers who seek expertise in special education content knowledge. This program prepares graduate students to advance as leaders in school districts or at the state education agency level, teach foundational college courses in special education, conduct collaborative research and improve student outcomes among learners with disabilities. M.Ed. candidates in Special Education are eligible to apply for advanced licensure in many states. Certified teachers employed full-time in South Carolina public schools may be eligible for a significant tuition discount (up to 50 percent).

Business Foundations

(Certificate) College of Business

Whether you are interested in starting your own business, or shifting gears into a more responsible position and preparing to earn a graduate business degree, the graduate certificate program in Business Foundations will give you a solid overview of basic business concepts. These graduate level courses can help fulfill graduate elective credits and enable you to also receive public acknowledgment of successful completion. The courses have been designed and offered by the AACSB accredited E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration, which ensures that you will receive relevant and timely information on business from faculty who have the highest recognition of their expertise that is offered in business accreditation.

ESOL

(Certificate) College of Education

The graduate certificate program in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) is designed for educators interested in expanding their knowledge and skills related to English language learners. Teaching certification is not required for admission. South Carolina certified teachers who complete the program may be eligible to apply for add-on licensure from the State Department of Education. Certified teachers employed full-time in a South Carolina public school are eligible for a tuition discount (up to 50 percent).  

Online Teaching & Training

(Certificate) College of Education

The graduate certificate program in Online Teaching and Training provides opportunities for educators and trainers to develop advanced competencies in designing, developing, delivering and managing online learning and performance improvement in education, business, industry, government, military, healthcare and other professions. Teaching certification is not required for admission. South Carolina certified teachers who complete the program may be eligible to apply for add-on licensure from the State Department of Education. Certified teachers employed full-time in a South Carolina public school are eligible for a tuition discount (up to 50 percent).
