Would you like to participate in activities, events, and trips? Well, Education Club is just the thing for you. You'd be amazed at how many different things we've done over the past two years. This October will be the third year now that we'll have participated in Heart Walk. We've gone to the Horry County Shelter Home, and The Boys and Girls Club to do Christmas, Halloween, and Easter activities with the children. We've also participated in Community Day, where we did hair wraps, face painting, and even had a pinata for the kids! A couple other were our Halloween Party at Dreamcatchers Therapeutic Riding Center and also participating in Dr. Seuss' birthday party and Read Across America. Finally, I think our best event so far was our trip to the Charleston Children's Hospital. We went to the hospital to do various projects with the children. The kids loved it, and we had a great time while we were there. We even got to stay in the hotel for the weekend and sight see in downtown Charleston!
Don't forget, it's never too late to join! It doesn't matter what year you're in or even what major you are. You just have to love kids! All you have to do is keep a look out for flyers hanging around campus to find out when our next meeting will be, or you can email me at Kstar310@aol.com and tell me you want to join the Education Club. I'll just add you to the list, and you'll start receiving emails about meetings and upcoming events. We're very thankful to everyone who has and will participate, and we hope this semester will be our best yet! |
